40th Annual AFDICQ Congress

40TH ANNUAL AFDICQ CONGRESS: A RECORD OF ASSISTANCE

Once again this year, Commonwealth Plywood was a proud sponsor and exhibitor of the event. The 40th edition of the Association of Manufacturers and Retailers of the Quebec Kitchen Industry (AFDICQ) took place at the majestic Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City on November 16th and 17th.

With its success year after year, the 40th edition has gathered nearly 500 people in the industry, which represents a record attendance.

The congress began with industrial visits to Preverco, SBI and finally Richard & Levesque facilities. The tours were exciting and showed us different ways of doing things as well as environments with issues similar to our industry. Spouses were able to visit Old Quebec by horse-drawn carriage, to take a tour of the Château and participate in a tasting of different types of bubbly drinks.

In the evening, the guests got to meet the suppliers and discover their new products at the exhibitors' fair. In the form of a cocktail party, sponsored by Commonwealth Plywood, the guests were able to feast while discovering our EGGER coordinated products and SCILM news.

The following day, the participants attended workshops, including Luc Dupont and Chantal Petitclerc's closing conference. The gala theme of the President's Banquet made it very pleasant. Under the direction of none other than Gregory Charles, several members have been rewarded for their involvement in the AFDICQ. After presenting a highly appreciated show, the artist took on the role of DJ to make the participants dance until the wee hours of the morning.

The AFDICQ would like to thank all the participants and sponsors of the event.
